Dr. Alvaro Vale e Azevedo is a civil engineer specializing in structures, with a career beginning in 1978. He started his work at LNEC in 1979 within the Structures Department and earned his PhD in 1986 with a thesis on “Static and Dynamic Analysis of Building Structures.” Since 2014, he has been the head of the “Building Economy, Management, and Technology” unit at LNEC, with extensive expertise in structural engineering and building management.
