OMAINTEC 2026 Convenes as a Major Step Toward a Smarter Future in Asset, Facility, and Maintenance Management
- Date: 15/12/2025
Reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional hub for innovation and sustainability, the city of Riyadh is set to host the 23rd edition of the International Asset, Facility, and Maintenance Management Conference (OMAINTEC 2026) from 12 to 14 January 2026 at Sofitel Riyadh Hotel, Princess Nouf bint Abdulaziz International Convention Centre.
Held under the theme “Building the Future of Smart Assets and Facilities – Unlocking the Power of Digital Twinning” the conference is organized by the Saudi Asset, Facility & Maintenance Management Association (SAFMMA) and the Arab Asset & Facility Maintenance Management Council, in strategic partnership with leading government entities including the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and the General Authority of Civil Aviation, alongside collaboration with local, regional, and international organizations.
OMAINTEC 2026 will bring together a distinguished group of global experts, decision-makers, and industry specialists to discuss the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, digital twin technologies, and predictive maintenance, in support of Saudi Vision 2030 goals for economic and environmental sustainability. The event builds on the strong success of the previous edition held in Jeddah in 2025, which witnessed broad participation under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal.
The three-day scientific program features a comprehensive agenda of technical sessions, interactive workshops, and panel discussions, with a strong emphasis on digital twins as a core enabler of smart asset and facility futures. Key topics include digital twin applications in building management, transportation, water and smart energy systems, advanced asset data analytics, resilient power grid development, redefining building maintenance through Building Information Modeling (BIM), and optimizing resource management and sustainability. The program also explores the role of AI in predictive maintenance, professional competency development, safety risk management, energy efficiency, and net-zero emissions, alongside a wide range of innovation-driven digital transformation themes.
Specialized workshops will address hands-on, advanced topics such as asset data governance and stakeholder engagement, upskilling protection engineers for digital energy systems, PropTech and FinTech applications in smart facilities, digital mapping and twin development for assets, AI and IoT applications in educational facilities and laboratories, hydrogen energy and practical training, fixed asset management mastery, systems integration, reliability requirements for railway equipment, road quality enhancement through modern technologies, and the transition from reactive to predictive maintenance through layered maintenance intelligence models, among other advanced practical tracks.
Alongside the conference, the AFM Expo will showcase the latest smart technologies and solutions in digital twins, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and asset and facility management systems. The event will also feature two flagship initiatives:
· FAM Business Clinic, a free advisory clinic offering one-on-one consultations with leading Arab and international experts to diagnose technical and operational challenges and deliver actionable solutions.
· FAM Leaders Hub, a smart networking platform connecting professionals directly with leading companies, enabling engineers and managers to present their expertise while allowing organizations to identify talent, build professional databases, and schedule in-person meetings within a dedicated exhibition area.
The conference will also announce the winners of the Arab Asset, Facility & Maintenance Management Award (OMAINTEC Award), recognizing excellence and innovation across the sector.
Organizers emphasize that OMAINTEC 2026 represents a unique opportunity for knowledge exchange, partnership building, and shaping a smarter, more sustainable future for asset and facility management.
