Professor Hossam Elborombaly is a distinguished architect and academic, former Head of the Department of Architecture at Ain Shams University. His notable achievements include receiving the Arab Knight Award (2020), the Distinguished Architect Award in Egypt (2020), and the Bronze Award for the world’s best architectural project (2019). He has been recognized as the Engineer of the Year in Maintenance (2017) and has played a key role in establishing standards for heritage restoration and maintenance, chairing multiple committees at national and Arab levels. Additionally, he is a member of the Arab Council for Operation and Maintenance, a consultant to the International Maintenance Association, and has won design awards early in his career. His extensive contributions span academia, professional standards, and consultancy in operation, maintenance, and heritage preservation.
