Husam Bashwieh is a Facilities Management Director and Project Management executive with 15 years of leadership experience across government, academic, and commercial sectors. He currently serves as Director of Facilities Management at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, where he leads large-scale, multi-site facilities portfolios, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, safety, and service reliability.

He holds dual Master’s degrees in Urban and Regional Planning and Project Management, in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Husam is a certified professional with PMP, FMP, PMI-ACP, CPD, and PMO-CP credentials, bringing a strong combination of strategic vision and execution discipline. His professional expertise includes enterprise asset management, strategic space planning, CAFM and CMMS transformation, contract and vendor performance optimization, emergency preparedness, and sustainability-led facilities strategies aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

Alongside his executive role, Husam has an academic research background in urban planning, GIS-based healthcare planning, city branding, transportation systems, and future workplace models.

Throughout his career, Husam has delivered measurable, data-driven results, led digital transformation initiatives, built high-performing teams, and received multiple awards for excellence and innovation in facilities, asset, and maintenance management.
